We work with nonfiction and memoir authors at every stage, from a book-shaped idea to a completed manuscript that needs industry wisdom, editorial intuition, and a clear path into the world.
Some authors want their print, ebook and cover files prepared in exactly the formats each publishing platform requires, ready for them to upload and publish wherever they choose.
Others don’t have the time, capacity or desire to wrangle ISBNs, publishing platforms, metadata, keywords, book descriptions and proof copies, so we take care of it all. You make the decisions that matter, we handle the rest. Imagine your book in your hands, available to readers online or ordered through bookshops around the world. Zero stress.

THE EDITORIAL PROMISE
This is not a manuscript mill.
We believe language is the operating system of our lives. Words shape identity, behaviour and belief, so we read every manuscript through that lens.
We pay attention to what your words are saying on the surface and what they’re teaching the reader to believe underneath. Then we make the writing clearer, stronger and more powerful without editing out the soul of your work or making you sound like you swallowed a style guide. Your personality is not an editing error.
We get intimate with your book because we give a shit about what you’re trying to say. Anyone can upload a file. We’re here to make sure the book you publish is exceptional.
We know your real voice is the most disruptive thing you own. Our job is to make sure the book carries it all the way to the reader.

Whether it’s a scrappy first draft or as polished as you can make it on your own, there comes a point where you need experienced eyes on the page.
Your book may need developmental editing, line editing or a combination of both. We look at the manuscript, talk about what you want the book to become, then recommend and quote the editing it actually needs.
Because a good edit doesn’t rewrite your voice, it reveals it.
INFLUENTIAL AUTHOR: THE JOURNEY
For the woman who wants to write her own book with expert structure, honest guidance and other women writing alongside her.
The Journey works with your Writing Archetype because we don’t all create the same way. You’ll work out what your book is really about, turn scattered ideas into a structure a reader can follow, write the manuscript in a way that works for your brain and keep going when the middle gets messy. Then you’ll refine the writing, prepare the book for publication and begin building the audience and body of work around it.
You don’t need someone to carry you up the mountain. You need the map, the lantern and your fellow writers cheering you on.

Best for the author who wants professional editorial and production work but is comfortable managing ISBNs, platforms, uploading, proofing and publication.
INFLUENTIAL AUTHOR: PUBLISHED
You’ve written the book. You just don’t have the time, capacity or desire to wrangle editing, formatting, ISBNs, publishing platforms, metadata, keywords, book descriptions and proof copies, so we take care of it all. You receive a physical proof copy, and we see the book through until it’s approved, published and available to readers.
You also receive the Practical Pre-Launch Guide, author activation meditation, and guidance for managing Amazon Author Central and your book after publication.
Your book remains entirely yours. You keep your rights, publishing accounts and royalties while Friday’s Road manages the publishing process from beginning to end. If you want ease and a complete done-for-you publishing experience, this is for you.
INFLUENTIAL AUTHOR: THE LEGACY
You have the expertise, lived experience or body of work. What you don’t have is the time or desire to work through a write-your-book program, learn the publishing industry or source and manage different experts for every part of the process.
This is a private, bespoke partnership built around you. Together, we find the strongest book within your expertise, shape the concept and structure and develop the manuscript with close editorial guidance and honest feedback at every stage.

I’ve spent decades working with words as a broadcast journalist, editor, copywriter, author and poet. I’ve helped hundreds of writers turn scattered ideas, voice notes and half-written drafts into books they’re actually proud to put their names on.
Journalism taught me how to find the story beneath the noise. Copywriting taught me how language shapes behaviour. Editing taught me that the strongest version of a book is the one that sounds unmistakably like its author.
I understand structure, story and the exact work required to take a manuscript from almost there to genuinely ready. And I also understand how words shape identity, not just sentences.
